- Pedal boats and kayak rentals on the Mountain Fork River
- Trout fishing (kids under 16 fish free with a licensed adult nearby)
- Tishomingo Trail and other kid-friendly hiking trails
- Cedar Crest Golf Course for older kids and families
Pro tip: Pack water shoes. The river rocks are slippery and kids will want to wade.
2. Hit the Hochatown Petting Zoo
Little ones obsessed with animals? The Hochatown Petting Zoo is a must-stop. Kids get up close with goats, deer, and other friendly critters. It’s the kind of stop that turns into a full hour without anyone complaining.
3. Soar on the Bigfoot Adventures Zip Line
For the brave kids in your group, the Bigfoot Adventures Zip Line delivers a serious thrill over the Ouachita treetops. Check their site for age and weight requirements — it’s a trip highlight they’ll brag about at school.
4. Conquer The Maze of Hochatown
The Maze of Hochatown is a giant outdoor maze that gets surprisingly tricky. Kids love the challenge and parents appreciate that it actually takes a while to complete — a rare win when you need everyone occupied.
5. Rent a Paddleboat on Broken Bow Lake
Broken Bow Lake is one of the cleanest lakes in Oklahoma. Rent a paddleboat or kayak and explore the coves. Bring sunscreen, snacks, and a GoPro — the photos from the water are incredible.
